OKA-Ft. Gibson Lake (NE Trail)& AOY
Wow, talk about a rough day on the water. Over 75% of the field came in without a measurable fish.
Thank you to those that fished and congratulations to the winners:
Tou yang took first and big bass with 39" and a nice 20" fish.
Tou-"I was using a silent 5ft deep squarebill crank. Both hit almost the same when I had contact with something. Tree limbs, or grass.
Here is his 19"er!
Jacob Scott took 2nd with 19.25".
Cody lusk took 3rd with 17.75".
I wish I could say that I haven't seen a day that was this tough before in Oklahoma, but I can recall a tournament on Longmire that had similar conditions in early march last year. It resulted in a zero fish day!
Now that we have two events down the Circuit Leaders are starting to emerge, currently Tou Yang has the lead in the NE circuit and Randal Farley Jr. has the lead in the CE circuit. Will they be able to hold onto the number one spot and face off on June 28th???? Remember its your best 3 events of the 4 that decide, so this race is still wide open! Next stop for the NE is at Spavinaw on May 2nd and Arbuckle May 3rd for the CE circuit. Check the events tab under oklahomakayakanglers.com for details.
